Last Tuesday was my big 2-1. I am legal. Originally, I was going to scan my new driver's license and show everyone, but then I thought it might not be the best idea...
Instead, my friends and I went to Benny's. At midnight. No one was there except Benny.
My friends and I had fun, though, playing great songs on the jukebox and drinking like it was a BIG deal, even though it wasn't.
I thought to myself before going to the bar, "What do you wear to a bar?"
I imagined that the uniform was too-tight light denim jeans with a low-cut halter top showing a lot of skin. I don't know why this is what I thought, but it occured to me that I do not own appropriate clothes to wear to a bar.
I don't even feel comfortable wearing clothes that show a lot of skin aka Britney style. So, I posted a picture of what I decided to wear the first time I ever drank in a bar.
My only question is: What do you wear to a bar?

First of all, Happy (belated) Birthday!
Second, I've always worn jeans and a top. Sometimes that top is a tee shirt, sometimes it's dressier, but I never show much (if any) skin. I think you looked great!
I usually where jeans and a polo or maybe a button up. Nothing too extravagant. I think girls in general think they need to get really dressed up to go to the bar, when, in reality, some dudes just go to the bar wearing jeans and a "College" t-shirt that you would see in "Animal House." Happy Belated b-day, by the way! You should come to the Pub on Tuesdays...they are a good time!
